Meet the Team

Say hello to the Sweat Squad!

Sarah De Lucca

Growing up, I always loved being on a team, and while I was no Christine Sinclair on the soccer field, I found my true calling in leading my team’s conditioning sessions.

As a young adult, I struggled with an eating disorder. In recovery, I discovered the healing power of movement, and for the first time in my life I felt strong in my body and mind. This feeling inspired me to combine my passions of movement and science into a career as a kinesiologist, where I help others harness the power of movement to transform their lives.

When I am not at the gym training others, I can be found on the Seawall training for my next triathlon, walking in the forest, or snowboarding down the green runs at Whistler.

Today, I’m honoured to guide clients toward their fitness goals, sharing my passion for movement and fostering empowerment every step of the way.

Alyssa Thornborrow

Alyssa Thornborrow specializes in designing effective, online exercise programs that meet diverse needs and goals. She graduated in 2023 from Western University with an Honours BA in Kinesiology. Her background includes working with the Women’s Varsity Rugby team at Western University, where part of her duties included helping to develop and facilitate strength & conditioning and rehab programs tailored to enhance athletic performance and aid in her athletes’ return to sport process.

While in school, Alyssa also completed specialized courses in exercise prescription and working with special populations, strength and conditioning, exercise psychology, athletic injuries, and musculoskeletal rehabilitation. In addition to exercise prescription, she has experience working as a physiotherapy assistant, which has given her valuable experience in helping the general public improve their mobility, strength, and overall well-being. She will be starting her MSc in Physiotherapy at Glasgow Caledonian University in January.
